Beauty and the Beast Inspiration Wedding | Styled Shoot | Waco, Texas

I’m so excited about the movie release of the Beauty and the Beast live-action film! This “tale as old as time” has been a personal favorite since I was little.

Several wedding vendors and I worked to create this Beauty and the Beast Wedding inspiration shoot. It was a lot of fun combining touches of new and old elements (like an antique cake table and old books) with iconic adaptations to match current styles. Our hope is that brides see how to incorporate the emotion, romance and elegance they see in the theater with modern trends to create a special wedding day they’ll remember forever.

Instead of something literal, we brought the elegance outdoors to an intimate wedding on private property. Each element is a subtle nod to the film without being overt to the theme.

Memory Lane Paperie did an incredible job designing the wedding stationary. I love the storybook feeling from invitation.

Rosetree Floral Design was so great to work with. Their creativity always surprises me. I love the wildness and greenery they incorporated with the classic roses we expected to see. It brought so much elegance to this outdoor wedding shoot.

It’s always great working with Squires Formalwear. After explaining the vision, they brought several options to the table. We settled on this navy tux with toasted carmel vest and tie. The lightly pleated shirt gives a modern twist to the classic image of the prince.

The bridesmaid dress was a resale find. I love the idea of bridesmaids finding dresses that fit the theme and also their personalities.

We tied the bridesmaid and bride together with their “jewelry”. The bridesmaid has a cuff of gold-leaf and the bride wore gold-leaf on her shoulder and along the v-neckline. It’s a simple application that creates a lot of drama and is different from what you usually see.

The wedding dress came from G2 by Georgios. We wanted something slightly out-of-the-box. This neutral toned gown was stunning. It had a hint of bling, classic lines and the chiffon flowed beautifully. I love the little details of this dress, like the single layer of chiffon under the arm or the matching v-neckline of the front and back.

Ashley Cottrell did a beautiful job on the bride and bridesmaid’s makeup. They laughed the whole time and the finished product was a beautiful, natural look that highlighted their eyes.

Special thanks to Confetti Rentals and Rosetree Floral Design for the ceremony and reception details. These wooden cross-back chairs were beautiful, solid and comfortable.

The guestbook table was a simple collection of antiques that hint at the theme.

I really love this head table. Confetti Rentals, Rosetree Floral Design and Memory Lane Paperie put in a ton of creativity that came together beautifully. There is an untamed elegance that fit in perfectly with the setting. And if you look carefully between the tapered candles, you’ll see the ceremony setting across the pond. Having an intimate wedding on private property can create incredible settings like this one.

I owe a special thank you to Sweetness Desserts for the countless hours that went into this masterpiece of a cake. Each layer is a different gold design and it’s hard to say which is more stunning. The bottom one surprised me, though. At first glance I just saw ruffles, but when I looked closer I saw roses!
