I love Disney movies and have created several boards that are based on Disney stories (mostly about the princesses). I’m sharing these themed wedding boards with you in a series. Check back each week for another themed board.
Please note that these “Themed Weddings” are not intended to be a Disney princess wedding. If we go too literal this will look like a little girl’s birthday party. The intent is to give you ideas based on the setting, feel, season and/or colors of certain movies. The photos are from Pinterest and lead directly to their pin.
This week’s wedding inspiration post is in honor of my sweet friend and former roommate, Kim, who is getting married this weekend. She was a part of the original inspiration for this series of Disney wedding boards. In memory of our time watching Disney movies and keeping in mind the excitement she brings to others, here is a Tangled Inspired Wedding (Rapunzel Wedding).
Congrats, sweet friend! I’m so glad you found your prince.
This theme is very girly and set outdoors with lots of floral accents. The color palette is varied like a field of wildflowers, but consists of soft tones. There is an earthy and woodsy feel, but the flowers and girly-girl ideas are front and center. I’ve incorporated a few iconic pieces that are not overt.
Theme Setting: Outdoors with tons of flowers
Color Scheme: Pastels with pops of darker shades
These watercolor wedding invitations are so artistic and beautiful.
I’m going to do something I haven’t done much. I’m going to give a few wedding dress ideas.
I just couldn’t decide on one! The first one has a floral bodice with flowers scattered below.
The second one has fewer flowers in front, but the cutout in the back is lined in flowers.
The last dress doesn’t have the flowers, but it is so pretty and has more of a royal feel.
The hair obviously needs to have flowers and braids.
A bride also needs stunning floral shoes…like these!
The flower girl dresses are fairly simple, but have a classic spring-time appeal.
That’s so their hairstyle stands out with these floral headbands.
We’re going to go out of the box for the bridesmaid dresses.
I just LOVE these floral gowns with the green sash.
The groom is in a wonderful tan suit with a playful boutonniere.
I had trouble deciding on a bouquet, but I really love the blue ribbon on this one
with the subtle pops of dark pink above.
Flowers should be a huge part of this wedding, so why not make a path of petals?
I thought this outdoor setting was so unique and cute!
It would be great to hang flowers around the ceremony site.
Children can shake the ribbon wands as the couple leaves the ceremony.
I love this overload of flowers on the escort card table.
It goes well with floral place card settings.
I love this backdrop for the wedding cake!
It would look great behind this fun wedding cake.
The reception is also bright and cheery.
I really love using floral patterned china.
Flower boxes make amazing centerpieces!
Or you can use hollowed out tree stumps!
But the tables aren’t the only thing you can decorate with flowers. The chairs can be a floral creation, too!
You can also decorate the drinks with flowers!
Let guests watch your love grow with these cute succulent wedding favors.
The grand finally will be a memorable affair with these flying lanterns.
(Note from experience: be really careful about lighting these when it’s windy)
I hope you enjoyed this Tangled Inspired wedding!
