I love Disney movies and have created several boards that are based on Disney stories (mostly about the princesses). I’m sharing these themed wedding boards with you in a series. Check back each week for another themed board.
Please note that these “Themed Weddings” are not intended to be a Disney princess wedding. If we go too literal this will look like a little girl’s birthday party. The intent is to give you ideas based on the setting, feel, season and/or colors of certain movies. The photos are from Pinterest and lead directly to their pin.
In honor of Robin William’s memory, this week’s wedding is inspired by Disney’s movie Aladdin. It is one of my favorite Robin Williams movies. It’s very different from the former inspiration wedding boards. This theme is Arabian elegance. There are a lot of lanterns and jewels. I hope you enjoy this Aladdin inspired wedding.
Theme Setting: Arabian Elegance
Color Scheme: White, Jewel Tones, Gold
For starters, every bride needs a ring. Here’s a stunning piece of gold and sparkly diamonds
(or white sapphires).
Invitations set the tone for the wedding. Here is the tone of Arabian opulence.
I just love how the metallic design represents the theme.
The wedding dress can vary depending on the region and culture.
Disney’s Jasmine was beautiful, but not as clothed as some people expect.
For that reason, I’ve found two dresses. The first is elegant and modest.
The second dress is the complete opposite.
While it is still fairly modest, the design is intricate and sparkly.
Beautiful dresses should have shoes to match. I LOVE the jewels on these!
To complete the look, check out this awesome cusp and dangling earrings!
A fun activity with the bridesmaids can include henna.
White henna is very elegant and fun to boot!
The groom’s outfit shouldn’t be ignored.
I really think this suit is completely dashing and debonair, like an Arabian prince.
I thought it would be very special to keep the ceremony clean and white.
The runner, columns, lanterns and flowers are white so the bride and groom are center stage.
A complementary item could include gold lanterns.
While the ceremony is white, the reception is super colorful.
You can have so much fun with the decorations.
Just look at the ribbons and bling on this chair!
The tables are dressed equally well.
Royal purples, rich orange and elegant gold all come together in this beautiful table setting.
Cakes are a fabulous way to bring out the couple’s personality.
This one also adds to the theme.
Wedding favors can also be really fun. I love the idea of tea cases.
I hope you enjoyed this Aladdin wedding!
