I love Disney movies and have created several boards that are based on Disney stories (mostly about the princesses). I’m sharing these themed wedding boards with you in a series. Check back each week for another themed board.
Please note that these “Themed Weddings” are not intended to be a Disney princess wedding. If we go too literal this will look like a little girl’s birthday party. The intent is to give you ideas based on the setting, feel, season and/or colors of certain movies. The photos are from Pinterest and lead directly to their pin.
This week I’m focusing on Frozen. This has quickly become one of my favorite Disney movies, and apparently others agree since it’s my most popular Pinterest board. This has been one of my favorite boards to create.
Theme Setting: It is obviously meant to be a winter wedding, but the ideas include many locations.
Color Scheme: Silver, white and grey, but pops of either green or blue are also nice.
Special attention was given to dress and hair styles, as well as snowflakes and ice. Bridesmaid dresses can be green, like Anna’s dress, or grey for a winter theme. Enjoy this Frozen themed wedding!
There are many invitations out there that are beautiful and wintery, but I LOVE this clear one with the white etched words!
There are specific “Elsa” or “Anna” rings, but this engagement ring is great for this theme. It’s precise, intricate and breath-taking…just like ice and snow!
There are several winter wedding dresses, and some are way over the top and truly replicate Elsa’s dress.
For today, I’ve chosen something more subtle.
The overlay on the skirt is popular right now (easy enough to find) and perfect to represent frost and snow.
There are sparkly shoes and there are boots, but these shimmery boots put the two together and are gorgeous and unique!
The bride has to be ready from head to toe. Here’s a stunning Elsa hairstyle. There are many tutorials on Pinterest.
While a green dress like Anna’s would be appropriate for a Frozen theme, I’m thinking a silver bridesmaid dress is best for the winter theme.
This flower girl looks precious in her sparkly dress!
Look at this lovely winter bouquet. White, silver and dusty greens are wonderful tones to use.
This shimmery bouquet holder is unusual and can be passed down as a keepsake.
I love this idea of a winter wonderland venue. Ice structures are difficult to find, but boy is it pretty.
Here is a fun place card idea. Place the names in these picture holders. They also make wonderful wedding favors.
Look at this beautiful table arrangement.
I love the mixture of white, glass, a glittery tablecloth and a few touches of blue accents.
Of course another option for chairs would be the clear Plexiglas chairs.
You can use all sorts of silver accents in a winter wonderland wedding.
I almost got this cake for my own wedding. It’s perfect for this Frozen/winter wedding because it looks like snow.
While you can use multiple different wedding favors, like snowflake bookmarks, I personally love this idea of personalized matches.
This silver case fits in with the theme, but the matches refer back to Olaf’s statement of
“Some people are worth melting for.”

Any idea where you could get the invitation you posted? I’m DYING to have it!
Samantha,
Sorry for the delay. I’ve scoured all over to find the original source of this invitation and finally found it. This invitation came from an Australian company called Engraving Plus: Couture Invitations and Gifts. http://www.engravingplus.com.au
I didn’t see a price listed so you may have to call about it. If the price is too high for your budget, type “acrylic invitations” into Google or Etsy. I found several cute and (relatively) affordable options in Etsy. Some companies that might work are Pocketations (www.etsy.com/shop/pocketations) and nGraveSolutions (www.etsy.com/shop/nGraveSolutions).
Best wishes!
