Wedding days are very emotional. If you are remembering family members it can be even more emotional. It doesn’t ha
ve to be sad, it can just be bitter-sweet. Your memories and love for those who are no longer present is something to be treasured. These are the indicators of a sweet life lived.
I’ve talked with many brides who have found special ways to remember their loved ones during their wedding day. Listed are a few examples:
- Many have placed small picture charms of loved ones on their bouquet
- Some couples have chosen to light remembrance candles
- Others place photos in chairs on the front row
- You can release balloons or sky lanterns in their honor
- One bride even wore picture charms of her father on her shoes so he could walk down the aisle with her
There are many ways to remember the ones you love even when they cannot physically be there with you. It doesn’t have to be sad. Make it special. Remember what was an embrace what will be.
What are some ways you have heard of people remembering their loved ones during their wedding day? Are you planning something similar?
