Yesterday I had the honor of seeing Kristin and Cole become a happily married couple. They met during a study-abroad trip. What captured Cole wasn’t Kristin’s “obvious” beauty, it was her amazing servant’s heart. He loved how she loved God and loved people. His mother laughed that it took a few dates for him to say “What was I thinking? She’s gorgeous!” They dated for a few years and earned their undergraduate and masters degrees in that time. Now they’ll embark on a new adventure together as Cole pursues a PhD and they move to a new state. Best of wishes to you both!
As the day-of-coordinator, I was able to work with some amazing people all day long to create a wedding that was almost as beautiful as this couple. Here are a few behind-the-scenes photos, most of them at the Ridgewood Country Club in Waco. Please forgive the quality, I snapped them with my phone during the limited “quiet” moments of the day. Rachel Whyte Photography will have the “official” photos if you want to see more of this special day.
Ridgewood Country Club has a beautiful ballroom that is perfect for an elegant reception. They also catered the delicious dinner. With all the rain, the grounds were still stunning and green…in Texas in June!
Action Rental provided the table linens. I thought their selection for napkin color went beautifully with the wedding colors and floral arrangements.
Wolfe’s created the floral arrangements. I couldn’t believe how large and exquisite some of those flowers were. It was wonderful! The flowers they provided also looked great on the amazing wedding cake Sweetness Desserts made, and the Settlers of Catan groom’s cake was absolutely perfect for Cole.
I really love watching how the bride relates with the mother-of-the-bride during special moments like this where Kristin was getting into her dress. A little bit later, after the more traditional photos, the bride and bridemaids wanted a few fun photos on the golf carts since we were ahead of our scheduled timeline. I can’t wait to see the photos from Rachel Whyte Photography.
TriStar DJ kept the dance floor busy all night! I’ve never seen a dance floor stay that busy for the whole wedding. The music was perfect for this crowd and everyone clearly had a good time.
Special thanks to all the people who pulled together to make this a special day:
