Waco Senior Photography :: Tips and Memories

With the school year in full swing, I am so excited about the upcoming Seniors. Juniors and Seniors have their plates full with so many decisions. Everything from Homecoming to Prom, tests to college are major concerns.

Having been through the process, I have a three words of advice:
ENJOY THE MOMENT.

I’m naturally a worrier of getting things done. I let things take over my mind and emotions more than I should.
Because of this, I wasn’t able to fully appreciate some of the little things along the way.
Remember to smile and embrace moments of joy and struggle.
The struggles help us grow while the joy carries us through.

So to remember some things from this summer, I’m posting some of my favorite photos of a Senior from a photography shoot-out (so fun) I attended with other local photographers this summer. I have a few other photos that I’ll share in the next few weeks.

Meet Karlee. She was such a sweetie! I loved her warm smile.

Karlee was dressed casually, but had a fun white top that was a great backdrop for her AMAZING jewelry that added a ton of personality.
I try to capture who a person is in each photo session. Personal touches like jewelry help portray it, but forming a connection to bring the personality out is important to a successful session.

While she was a little unsure about the session at first, she warmed up almost immediately and we quickly found things to laugh about…
…which was great since we only had about 15 minutes to meet each other and have a mini-session.

Best of luck to Karlee and all other Seniors in Central Texas! What a fun time you have ahead of you.
