He put her on a plane and took the next one to surprise her with a proposal!
Nathan and Abbi have been dating for two years and are the sweetest couple! Nathan’s a videographer and had a vision in mind based on things Abbi’s said she liked. The problem is that he was planning from a different state and didn’t know the Waco area well. After looking at several park settings, we found the place he was hoping for.
He took Abbi to the airport so she could meet her family, and then he circled back for the next flight with a custom designed ring and proposal props. Nathan set up the proposal area and then waited while I took “family portraits” for Abbi and her family.
I love watching families engage and laugh together. Everyone was enjoying the moment, but four of them had a secret. Abbi (in the green shirt) didn’t know that this family session was actually a set-up and that she’d be engaged less than 15 minutes later. Now that’s definitely something to smile about!
I directed them around a corner for the next setting and there was Nathan.
You guys, I was so impressed and in awe while watching these two pray in the middle of the proposal. What an incredible way to start their lives together!
I always include a mini engagement session with the proposal so that clients have photos of themselves to share from their special moment as they prepare for their wedding.
Nathan and Abbi got engaged on the trails at Woodway Park and it was right in time for the first bluebonnets of the season! It’s a Texas thing, y’all. Since the family are new Texans we decided to initiate them with their first bluebonnet photos.
Congratulations Nathan and Abbi! Wishing you all the best for this life together!
