 Week 32 – Wedding Transportation

Hope you’ve books your wedding night hotel. It’s time to talk about wedding transportation.

At first glance, this may seem completely obvious and only factor in how you’ll leave the reception. While this does include how are you and your groom will get away from the reception, it also includes transportation throughout the wedding day.

  1. Wedding Party Transportation. The first consideration is how are the wedding party members getting from one place to another on the wedding day. They may be driving their own cars comma or you can hire a party bus to pick them up and deliver them from one place to another. It doesn’t matter one way or another, but you’ll want to think of the time line and ease of moving from one place to another, and your budget. If you’re in a busy town and parking is difficult to find comma a party bus can be a wonderful solution to make sure everyone stays together and your time line is secure.
  2. Guest Transportation. Another consideration is for your guests. Will you have a lot of alcohol at the wedding? Are you in a big city where it’s difficult to find parking? Is the hotel where you suggested out-of-town guests day near to the ceremony or reception site? If any of these are yes, it would be good to hire a transportation service of some sort. This could be a trolley the bus or something unique to your area. The idea is to be easily accessible for your guests and to be convenient and safe. If many guests are probably not going to be in a good condition to drive home in a strange area then it is definitely a good idea to have a source of transportation to carry them home.
  3. Reception Getaway Vehicle. The final Transportation needs will be your getaway vehicle.. are you getting away in your normal car, the horse-drawn carriage, an old car, or a limo? Look at your budget and your personality. In a large city it is definitely a good idea to have some sort of Transportation pick you up and take you to your final destination for the night. If you are having an elegant romantic evening that is very high end comma then it would be a good idea to hire a limo. If you love romance and vintage flares then perhaps a horse-drawn carriage would be more to your taste. If you have a DIY wedding you can drive your car, borrow a phone call from a friend, or ride a Bicycle Built for Two. I hope this is helpful in creating an idea of how everyone is getting from one place to another throughout the wedding day. Remember the goal is to keep the timeline and be safe. Have fun!.

Hope this post helps you think through some of the needed logistical details for the day. Next week we’ll talk about make-up and hair stylists!
